WELCOME TO OUR CLASS !

 

My name is Lorena Contreras and I’m native from Peru, South America. My primary language is Spanish and I learn English as immersion since I was a little girl. I have been teaching since I was 16 years old under an English Certificate from the University of Cambridge, England. After 2 years of teaching I start my studies in the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, were I was accredited with a Bachelors Degree in Early Education in 2001.

 

In 2002 I was part of a teacher exchange were I taught Spanish as Immersion in the Early Childhood Center of Bennington College, Vermont, USA. I returned to Peru and teach English Immersion for 4 years.  Then I decided to return to USA with the Visiting International Faculty program in July 2005 and taught in Upchurch Elementary school, Raeford, NC.  For 3 years.

 

In July 2008 I joined the family of Sallie B. Howard. I have been in the school for one year and I’m ready to start my second successful year. Actually I hold a North Carolina k-6 teacher certification.

 

Ms. Michelle Hill is native of North Carolina. She has been attached to the Sallie B. Howard family for many years as a Parent and substitute teacher. After a few years she decided to become a full time teacher assistance at the school. She worked in second grade and then she came to kindergarten to teach the little ones.

 

Ms. Hill always keeps herself updated with new information by attending to classes in the Community College of Wilson, NC.
